Homes of the Dallas Mavericks

Homes of the Dallas Mavericks

And some info about their lives OFF THE COURT:

     DIRK NOWITZKI

The low-key, humble Nowitzki prefers to keep his private life sheltered.

In his free time, Nowitzki is an avid saxophone player. Dirk picked up the skill as a teenager, when his coach, Holger Geschwindner, made him learn the instrument as a way of teaching him the art of improvisation, something Nowitzki would need to do on the court as well.

He is the godfather of close friend and former teammate Steve Nash‘s twin daughters.

Nowitzki has been lauded throughout his career for his work ethic. In an April 2006 interview with German tabloid Sport-BILD he stated, that he admires Larry Bird for his combination of skills, work ethic and winner’s mentality.

I have already posted about his house, or “Fortress of Solitude, but if you missed it, check out the picture of his house (below) on the street in the heart of Dallas on Strait Lane.

DIRK’S HOUSE

JASON TERRY

Terry and his wife, Johnyika, have four daughters; Jasionna, Jalayah, Jaida and Jasa Azuré.His younger sister, Lyric, used to live with them in Dallas.

Terry has the number 206 tattooed on his chest. It is his hometown area code. He also has a tattoo of Underdog.

Terry is the cousin of Minnesota Timberwolves forward Martell Webster.

JET’s Home (above)

is a Mediterranean style house, in Frisco, TX in a community called Country Club Estates.  The home sold for 1.4Million and Terry has lived there for over 5 years. I know he can fly, but that’s still a long shot to American Airlines Center.

JET, hit me up if you want to move closer to the AA Center! Would love for you to be my future client 🙂

JASON KIDD

Kidd was born in San Francisco, California, the oldest of 6 children of Steve and Anne Kidd. His father, now deceased (heart attack at 61), was African-American and his mother is Irish American. He was raised in the Oakland Hills, an upper middle class section of Oakland. He attended St. Paschal Baylon school in Oakland Hills. He frequented the city courts of Oakland, where he often found himself pitted against future NBA All-Star Gary Payton. The two still reminisce about the playing days of their youth. During his youth, Kidd also excelled at soccer as well as other sports.

I don’t kow much about Jason Kidd’s personal life. It’s pretty hard to find info on this guy. I mean, I used to watch him when he originally played on the Mav’s, back in the day, and I can write his playing history, but this guy seems to keep a pretty low personal profile! Let’s check out his house. I can do that much.

Well, at least Kidd lives close to the American Airline’s Center.       Right around the corner, in fact at the Azure Condo on McKinnon Street in Dallas.

Prices at the azure vary, but Kidd bought his place in 20o8. The current market value is estimated at $1,238,330

TYSON CHANDLER

Chandler and his wife Kimberly organized a charity to help New Orleans families who suffered from Hurricane Katrina. The charity helped purchase “small things” (as Chandler said) for the family’s homes: TVs, stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, pots, pans etc. The wives of Chandler’s teammates helped in the efforts.

He is of German descent.

Sadly, this is the best picture I can find of his crib, since it is located in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Let’s hope for a purchase in Dallas soon.

For lack of better pictures, I thought I would find a fact about Chandler that you     would never guess…. He likes to paint.  Whooda thunk it?
