Check Out One of My Recently Purchased Through Properties in Lakewood!

really lucked out, finding this property toward the end of the competitive, Dallas Spring Market hunt for the perfect property. Their new home is in the heart of Lakewood Elementary School District, which… if you havent heard, is the place to buy for re-sale purposes. Either Lakewood Elementary or Stonewall Jackson Elementary, as they are the only exemplary public school districts in the city of Dallas, other than Highland Park or University Park…Where you are lucky to find a decent sized place for a family for under $500k. It’s one of the safest, if not the safest investments in the city you can find these days.

Let me tell you why they lucked out…We started the search looking for a charming cottage-feel home in Lakewood or Stonewall Jackson elementary but, ended up finding this incredible, completely updated home with clean lines and modern accents while still embodying the traditional Lakewood charm and location.  This was a wonderful find, considering these two people are some of the hardest working clients I have ever met. Mario, an attorney, working late nights and Stephanie, a dedicated manager of her company with a recent promotion who keeps the place running…  We were looking for Lakewood charm. They needed a 3 bed 2 bath, ideally  2 car garage on a great sized lot with a 2 car garage,  but lemme tell ya,  the majority of the properties in this area were built, in the 1930s, 40s, and mainly 50s! Even some of the most well-maintained properties in Lakewood are going to need work… and these guys barely had the time to look at properties, much less work on their property. Sometimes, you are lucky to find a car port, much less a garage… It just depends.

We knew they needed something move-in ready and we found it, conveniently located on Santa Maria Street in the highly coveted Bob-O-Links sub-division. We found a 3 bed, 2 bath with over 1800 square feet on a large lot with a 2 car garage!  After submitting back-up offers on other properties, we were competing with another offer and barely beat out the competition!

As you can see by the pictures, some of the beautiful features of this property include, a completely open kitchen with Bosch stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets, Carrera Marble Countertops (my personal favorite).  Check out that beautiful backsplash!

The Master suite features a double vanity, honed granite and a walk-in closet!

The open floor plan in living areas offers a space perfect for entertaining (we tested it out… it’s true)!  French doors open to a back yard with a new 8 foot fence
and mature trees.

There is also a pretty natural stone wood burning fireplace, a tankless water heater, gorgeous hardwoods, crown
molding, and they can walk to White Rock Lake! The dogs love it!
